Not only did our community get to view an important and entertaining documentary that mattered in a very personal way to all the Yellowstone River residents in the audience – we raised just over $2000 for our after school program, had a great time, and was able to make the evening memorable for everybody involved. A: Use whatever works for the size group you think you can draw. Our films have played in theaters of all sizes, pubs, schools, community centers, and backyards. Anyplace a community can come together to watch a film.
Q: HOW DO WE CHOOSE A DATE?
A: A month is typically a good length of time to promote a show. Be sure to check out what other events are happening so you don’t compete with something big.

Q: HOW DO WE PROMOTE?
A: We provide template posters, you fill in the details and print (if you want) or post online. We also provide a template press release for you to customize. Get creative – use Facebook, Twitter, make a blog post, contact the local newspaper columnist, etc. The most successful shows are put on by groups that have members who are actively involved in promoting.
